We're just back from a short but sweet trip to KL, Malaysia where I delivered four lectures at the SAHAMM Course.
It's exciting to see what's happening around the world in terms of post graduate education in Nutritional Medicine. Already this year;
- IFM has visited Australia bringing their foundational AFMCP course 'Down Under' for the first time
- Doctors gathered in London for a course on Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine
Later this year the IFM faculty is heading to the UK to present the AFMCP.
SAHAMM is one group flying the flag for postgraduate nutritional education in South East Asia. This recent conference focused on metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease. The advanced module included sessions on Liver Detoxification, Methylation and Neurotransmitters.
As always it was a great chance to catch up with our colleagues, revisit pathophysiology and dive deep into the literature! It's a real privilege to be a part of this global movement. We're already looking forward to visiting KL again in 2019. Terima kasih.
